Mr. Eric Haruthunian - Central Islip High School Principal
As the holiday season approaches, we want to take a moment to reflect on the many blessings we share as a school family. This time of year offers us the chance to pause, appreciate the moments we’ve experienced, and look forward to the opportunities ahead.
Our Central Islip community is built on a foundation of care, perseverance, and a shared commitment to growth. Whether in the classroom, on the field, on stage, or in service to others, we have achieved so much together this year. As we celebrate the holidays, let us also celebrate the spirit of collaboration and kindness that defines who we are.
The new year brings with it a sense of renewal and promise—an opportunity for new beginnings, fresh goals, and continued success. I am excited to see what we will accomplish together in 2025, and I am grateful to be part of such an incredible community of students, families, and staff.
Wishing you a joyous holiday season filled with peace, love, and laughter. May the new year bring health, happiness, and fulfillment to you and your loved ones.

At the December 9, 2024, Board of Education meeting, School Board President Mr. Luis Alcantara called the meeting to order, during which several students were showcased and recognized for their achievements.

Ms. Kimberly DaSilva is an avid volunteer in the Central Islip School District, and she is this week's featured honoree in the Musketeer Monday Spotlight! Ms. DaSilva began her journey in PTA volunteerism when her twin daughters, Jenna and Deanna—now juniors at Central Islip High School—started their school careers in 2013.

The Central Islip Fire Department held its third-annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday evening, and they had special guests in attendance.
